Membership
Those who wish to become members of Sigma Mu Upsilon must go thru
a multi-phase intake or "pledge" process. The first step of this process is to attend a Yokefellow open house (commonly referred
to as a "smoker".) At this open house one will receive further instructions and also be informed of the requirements to be
considered for acceptance into the next phase of the Sigma Mu Upsilon Intake Process.

Membership is a solemn
commitment. To this Society, the maker of the commitment becomes synonymous with the commitment itself. Membership in Sigma
Mu Upsilon is a lifelong dedication to the ideas and standards of Sigma Mu Upsilon, which considers for membership only those prospects
whose personal, social and academic qualifications are acceptable to both the Church and the Society.
